Maserati Ghibli – The Grand Tourer with a Racing Soul

The Maserati Ghibli (1967-1973) was a statement of Italian elegance and power, blending exotic styling with thundering performance. Designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, its low, aggressive silhouette and pop-up headlights made it one of the most beautiful GT cars of its time.

Under the hood, the 4.7L V8 delivered 310 hp and 441 Nm, later upgraded to 4.9L (335 hp) in the Ghibli SS. With a 5-speed manual transmission, it reached 275 km/h, making it one of the fastest grand tourers of its era. Weighing 1,600 kg, it sprinted from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. Unlike Ferrari’s high-revving screamers, the Ghibli’s V8 rumbled with a deep, muscular tone, giving it a distinct character.

Driven by icons like Henry Ford II and Jean-Paul Belmondo, the Ghibli combined long-distance comfort with the raw soul of a race car. For those who appreciate Italian craftsmanship, timeless design, and the thrill of a naturally aspirated V8, the Ghibli is more than a Maserati—it’s a masterpiece.
